Maeve Harris
Maeve Harris is a contemporary painter whose art weaves organic aesthetics with modern design. Her mixed medium process casts a fresh view on traditional subject matter to fuse nature, light, and beauty. Known for her extensive portfolio of equine and abstract imagery, Maeve’s work is recognizable from her distinct style of mark-making and can found in partnership with print collections such as Anthropologie, Ethan Allen, and Ballard Designs. Her original commissions include large scale murals in Truist Park Atlanta GA, Palazzo Hotel and VIP Villas Las Vegas, and the landmark 909 A Street building Tacoma WA. as well as many corporate, healthcare, and hospitality settings across the US.
Born in New Jersey, Maeve migrated to the southwest in 1994 for her Bachelor of Fine Arts. She began her career in Phoenix, AZ as a production painter for a fine art and decor company, and became a lead designer specializing in furniture and accessory markets. In 2002, Maeve moved to Seattle where she opened her first independent studio in Pioneer Square and launched her brand in fine art publishing. 20+ years later, she still calls the PNW her home. Maeve and her husband own a hay farm in the Cascade foothills. Besides moving cattle and riding horses, Maeve paints everyday. Equine imagery is a continued theme in her work and she credits her best friend Sugar, a 29 year old paint mare, for much of that inspiration. Maeve is honored to be a judge in the 2025 Emerald Downs Art show.
